Maxx’s pedigree

Maxx is a son of our Spirit, owned by Tatiana Moses.

It is our great pleasure to be able to add this boy to our breeding program, as several of his other sons went to homes that ultimately did not keep them open as agreed, and so we almost lost our Spirit’s genes!

You can find more information and photos of Moonstar dogs at their own website – see our Resources page for the link.

Na-To’si’s Pedigree

born May 19, 1987

hips OVC clear SAC # 242

eyes cleared – Cerf SA1896/93-78

Bred by Donna Pagel Yocom, Tosi was Donna’s favorite Sam in her later years, and her last Champion Samoyed.  He came to live with us at the age of 11 months, as he had gotten too strong for Donna to manage, in her advanced years.   Tosi earned his first US points at age 8 months, and finished at the age of 8 years, with a 4 point major!  In between, he won Best of Breed at our Annual Booster at Tyee Kennel club, and an Award of Merit at the Canadian National Specialty in Red Deer in 1994.  Tosi was a wonderfully sound moving dog, just a tad large at 25″ at the withers!

Sire of:

  • Can. Ch Sancha’s Quicksilver Lace BPIG
  • Can. Ch Sancha’s Quilchena Quartz
  • Sancha’s Illiana BPIG (disappeared at 19 months, 9 Cdn. points)

Odin’s Pedigree

Odin came to us as a litter pick back in return for a stud service: I had long admired the bloodlines behind his mother’s pedigree! He got a rough start in his first dog show – traveling home from the show, his handler was in an accident that completely demolished her van. Luckily none of the dogs or people were injured, but Odin had a hard time breaking the association to traveling in vehicle, and is still easily startled by loud noises. However, he then begun to associate car rides with going out to herd sheep – his favorite pastime! He was amazing “natural” at it, but unfortunately we were not able to pursue that option, as he also began to herd our cats!

Odin now lives in a cat-free zone with the Parker family in the BC Interior!

He is pictured out skijoring with David and Joan Martin in Manning Park, B.C., and in his happy place, herding sheep!  He earned his Canadian championship at 13 months old.

Piper https://sanchasamoyeds.com/dog/piper/ Sun, 18 Jul 2010 08:05:52 +0000 http://sanchasamoyeds.com/?p=1414 Read More]]> Piper’s pedigree

Piper was imported from Scotland by Charlotte and Archie Baillie (Whitespirit Samoyeds)  to breed to the girl I sent her, Ca Ch Sancha’s Gem Vicky Whitespirit CD.  When Charlotte passed away,  Piper came to live with us at Sancha.

He was a grand dog – always a perfect gentleman! A beautiful dog with a sweet, easygoing temperament, he got along wonderfully with all other dogs, and passed that nature on in his kids.  His influence remains strong in our lines today.

He sired a number of Champions for Charlotte, under the Whitespirit prefix, and gave us Ca Ch Sancha’s Naughty Nadia ROMC and her litterbrother Ca Ch Sancha’s Northern Pasha.

Born December 28, 2008

Eyes CERF SA-6030 2009  Hips OFA – SA15647 F 27M

I had greatly admired Taiga’s sire, Tundra, and when the opportunity arose to have his son, Taiga, out on the West Coast, it was too good to pass up!

Taiga came out to live with Joan and David Martin, co-owned with us at Sancha.  Currently Joan is working with him in Agility, and he comes over to us to visit from time to time. He is pictured above, making himself comfortable on our couch, on one of those visits!

Trip https://sanchasamoyeds.com/dog/trip-2/ Sun, 08 Sep 2013 20:02:27 +0000 http://sanchasamoyeds.com/?p=2332 Pedigree of Ca Ch Vanderbilt’s Let’Er Rip

Hips – SA-16430G24M-VPI – good

Eyes clear – SA-EYE551/46M-VPI

Trip comes to us from the world renowned Vanderbilt Kennels in Ontario, Canada. I knew we need to add some new lines, and after a visit to Crufts in March 2012, I came home realizing I could do just as well bringing something from here in Canada into our lines, rather than going overseas, at this time.  I contacted Judi, and Trip came out to the West Coast as a result: we continue to co-own him with Judi Elford.

Trip was shown to his championship by the very capable Aislynn Verzyl – a Junior handler that we have had the great pleasure to have help assist us in the show ring, of late – Thank you, Aislynn!!!

Trip sired several litters for us here and has produced a number of Champions, in several different litters.
